Police have identified and charged two of the three boys involved in attacking a joey in the Kimberley.
A video of two boys striking and tormenting a baby kangaroo was reported to police after it was posted on Facebook.
Detectives investigating the incident were able to identify two boys in the video.
A 13 year old and a 16 year old, both from Halls Creek, have been charged with with Animal Cruelty.
Police are continuing their investigation to locate a third boy who filmed the incident.
