The women were airlifted to hospital following the traffic crash.

Police are investigating a traffic crash that occurred in Beedelup, in the states south, yesterday afternoon.

Around 2.35pm, two campervans were travelling in a north-west direction along the Vasse Highway when a Mitsubishi Challenger station wagon travelling behind them, attempted to overtake both campervans.

The Challenger successfully overtook the first campervan but the second campervan that was in the lead of the three vehicles had commenced a right hand turn and the Challenger collided with this campervan.

The occupants of the Challenger were four women from Denmark, currently visiting WA. The driver and front passenger, both 26-years-old, received serious injuries and were rushed to Pemberton Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

The other two female occupants aged 24 and 21, received minor injuries and were taken to Pemberton Hospital before being transferred to Bunbury Hospital.

The occupants of the Campervan were not injured.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or anyone who saw the campervans or Mitsubishi Challenger prior to the crash.
