The daily number of COVID-19 cases in WA has tipped 1000.
Chief Health Officer Andy Robertson told ABC Radio there were 1043 infections recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday.
Dr Robertson said 1039 of those were locally acquired.
There are 12 people now in hospital with COVID, none are in intensive care.
