The WA Heath Department has issued a total of $53,000 in fines to the Origin Kebabs store in the Warnbro Shopping Centre after it failed to keep its premises clean and safe.
The business was slapped with a $50,000 penalty plus $3000 for failing to store potentially hazardous food under temperature control, not maintaining a standard of cleanliness and failing to maintain all equipment to a standard of cleanliness.
The Health Department said the breaches of the Food Act 2008 offences occurred on June 30 2016 and July 13 2016.
Meantime a Pasta Cup outlet on Beeliar Drive at Cockburn Central has been ordered to pay a combined cost of $13,737 for breaching the Food Act four times.
The store was slapped with a $12,000 fine plus $1,737 in costs for failing to protect stored food from contamination, not maintaining to a standard of cleanliness, failing to maintain all equipment to a standard of cleanliness and failing to maintain the food premises in a good state of repair.
The four offences occurred between February 19 2018 and March 14 2018.
