The Public Transport Authority is investigating a violent confrontation between a transit guard and a passenger at Rockingham Train Station.
Footage of the incident was posted on social media over the weekend and showed a transit guard forcibly restraining a teenage girl.
Seven News reports, the girl and her friend had been kicked off a train after numerous complaints from other passengers about their behaviour.
When the guards removed the girls from the train, one of them became aggressive and allegedly punched a guard, before she was restrained, according to a PTA spokesman.
Vision of the arrest, captured by a commuter, shows the guard dragging the girl across the platform in a headlock before she is pinned to the ground and handcuffed.
At one point the guard can be seen dropping his knee into the girl's back.
The girl can be heard screaming, "I’m only 17” and “stop, you’re hurting me".
The PTA is now reviewing the incident to determine if the guard used reasonable force to restrain the passenger.
The PTA also said they are likely to press assault charges against the girl for allegedly punching the guard.
