A 15-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly ripping a woman's handbag off her shoulder in Parmelia.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was walking along Sicklemore Road around 8.05pm on Tuesday.
As she neared the roundabout on Durant Avenue, the boy allegedly ran up behind her and grabbed her handbag, causing the strap to break.
Police say the woman stumbled backwards and fell.
She suffered minor injuries to her arm.
Rockingham Detectives later arrested the boy.
The 15-year-old from Leda has been charged with robbery and will appear in the Rockingham Children's Court today.
