PIC: WA Police

A 23-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly leading police on a lengthy pursuit with two young teenagers in the car.

Pinjarra Police first spotted the woman driving a Subaru Forrester SUV on McLarty Street in Pinjarra just before 11am on Monday, October 14.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen from Carey Park on Saturday, October 12.

"Police activated emergency lights and sirens; however, the driver failed to stop and an evade police incident began," a WA Police spokesperson said.

"Due to safety concerns, police discontinued their pursuit of the vehicle a short time later."

Just after 11am, police again tried to stop the Subaru on Del Park Road in North Dandalup, but the driver allegedly failed to stop and sped off.

With the help of the Police Air Wing, the Subaru was followed as it travelled through a number of suburbs.

It then eventually came to a stop at a service station on Forrest Highway in Binningup just after 12pm.

Three people allegedly got out of the Subaru and fled on foot but were arrested a short time later.

The 23-year-old driver has been charged with a string of offences including two counts of failing to stop, two counts of reckless driving to escape pursuit, stealing a motor vehicle and drove with a forged, replica or false plate.

She is next due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday, October 28.

A 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy were referred to the Juvenile Justice Team.

“The woman recklessly endangered the lives of innocent road users during this incident, while also putting her own life and that of two young children in grave danger," a WA Police spokesperson said.
