Detectives are now searching for the man responsible for the attack.
A man in his 50s has been left shaken after he was robbed at knife point in East Victoria Park on Sunday night.
Police said around 8.30pm the wheelchair bound victim made his way along Shepperton Road before turning into Cardiff Street where he was approached by a man.
The man then asked for a cigarette before producing a knife and demanding the victim's phone and wallet.
The man in the wheelchair claimed he didn't have either of the items when the attacker grabbed the wheelchair and tipped the victim on the ground.
It's then alleged the victim lay on the ground unable to move while the man searched him and stole several items including a wallet and keys.
The man fled the scene on a blue mountain bike with white front forks and a brown milk crate on the back with red lights fixed to it.
Kensington Detectives said the offender is described as aged between 20 and 30 years with fair skinned, approximately 184cm tall and of skinny build.
He was wearing a blue hooded jumper, white baseball cap and black tracksuit pants.
