A woman in a wheelchair and her carer were the victims of a violent bag snatch incident in a busy Bunbury street.
A woman in a wheelchair and her female carer both aged in their 50s , had just left a business on Wittenoom Street when an unknown woman tried to grab a handbag that was hanging on the handle of the wheelchair.
A struggle broke out and the carer was pushed to the ground before the alleged thief made off the handbag.
The offender is described as 20 to 30 years of age, with dark skin, approximately 162cms tall, a slim build, long dark hair, an eyebrow ring above her left eye and a scar on her right arm.
She was wearing a black t-shirt and black tights.
Bunbury detectives believe there were several members of the public in the area at the time (11am, November 15) and anyone who saw the incident or has information regarding this incident, is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
