Mandurah Detectives have charged an 18-year-old man over an aggravated home burglary in Mandurah between Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July 2024.
Between 6:30pm and 7pm, it will be alleged the man gained entry into a caravan in the rear yard of a residence on Tuckey Street. Once inside, the man stole several items before fleeing.
Later that evening, between 11:45pm and 12:05am, it will be further alleged the man re-attended the residence and forced entry inside. An occupant, a woman aged in her 80s, was sleeping inside before being awoken. She left her bedroom finding herself confronted by a man unknown to her.
Subsequently, the man allegedly threatened the woman before punching her in the face. As a result, the woman sustained a laceration to her mouth, and received bruising and swelling.
The man then fled the address.
