A woman has been injured after a police chase in Shoalwater.
The pursuit started around 12.30am on Thursday, when a Toyota Hilux failed to stop for police.
Police said the vehicle then struck a power pole near the intersection of Arcadia Drive and Penguin Road.
The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken into custody.
Police confirmed the woman in her 40s, who was a passenger in the car, received possible serious injuries.
She was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital and is expected to be transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.
