"Thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives."
Taylor Swift has finally broken her silence on the foiled Vienna plot that targeted her Vienna shows in August.
In a lengthy post to socials, Taylor said, “Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating. The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows. I was heartened by the love and unity I saw in the fans who banded together. "
She then went on to praise authorities saying, “Thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives," and that she had waited to speak out after her Wembley shows in London were over to prioritize safety.
Taylor is now having a much-needed rest – and will resume her Eras Tour in October in Canada and the US – with her final show on December 8.
