A family has escaped from their burning home in Dawesville overnight.
The two storey home in Estuary Road was destroyed by the blaze which broke just after 10pm on Sunday.
The family was home when flames took hold of the house but managed to escape without any injuries.
It took 20 firefighters about an hour to bring the blaze under control.
A car parked out the front was also burnt.
Firefighters spent several hours mopping up after some of the roofing collapsed.
It is not known what caused the blaze.
An investigation is underway into how it started.
It's the understood the family that had been living there has lost everything.
The fire has caused an estimated $500,000 worth of damage.
