A fake crosswalk painted on a Baldivis road is set to be removed by the City of Rockingham.
Rockingham Councillor Matt Whitfield posted about the crosswalk on his Facebook on Monday afternoon, saying the it "'appeared' over the weekend."
“You will perhaps have noticed that there is a new ‘pedestrian crossing’ on Makybe Drive between Delta Road and Phar Lap Parade,” the post read.
“This is not approved by the City or Main Roads, and it is not a legal crossing.
“This is not a supervised crossing and it does not comply with any safety standards.
“The City will be removing these markings as soon as possible.”
Mr Whitfield said the City would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crosswalk being painted or who has any information.
