A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his seven-week-old baby boy.
It is alleged the man was home alone with the baby on August 10, when he allegedly assaulted the baby causing serious injuries.
The infant was taken to Perth Children's Hospital by ambulance where he was treated.
He suffered life-threatening injuries.
The father from Hamersley has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with a Circumstance of Aggravation.
He is next due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on October 19.
