The Rockingham Beach Foreshore will be a hub of activity on Saturday, with the City of Rockingham set to host its first-ever Street Festival.

Held as part of the City’s Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events, the Street Festival will feature two music stages, amusement rides, circus workshops, market stalls, roaming performances and a chill-out zone.

Families can enjoy live entertainment from HI-NRG, Ross Vegas, Freedom Fairies, buskers, Breakthrough Music Competition finalists, and more.

There will also be face painting, craft activities, stilt walkers and a roaming magician.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged the community to get involved.

“The City’s Summer Series program is the ideal opportunity for families to get out and rediscover Rockingham, and we are delighted to be able to offer the community this chance with our first ever Street Festival,” Mayor Sammels said.

“The Street Festival will include a variety of entertainment options for people of all ages. With the foreshore looking spectacular following completion of the Revitalisation last year, this event is another great opportunity for residents to enjoy our premier beachside location with family and friends.”

The event will be held from 5pm – 9pm.
