Coast FM and The Wave have once again teamed up with WestAus Crisis and Welfare Services for their annual Winter Appeal supporting Homelessness Awareness Week.
The radio stations have been collecting donations at their studios on Mandurah Terrace to help those doing it tough in the Peel region.
Over the past two weeks generous locals and businesses have dropped off dozens of items which will be distributed to rough sleepers in the area.
Items will be collected on Thursday, July 30 at 12pm.
Items urgently needed include (new or like-new condition only):
• Tents
• Swags
• Sleeping bags
• Camping/yoga/foam mats
• Near new doonas
• New thick winter clothes
• Ladies & mens new undergarments
• Children & adult footwear (sizes 9-10 adults)
• Toiletries (toothbrushes, soap, disposable razors etc.)
• Mosquito repellent
• Tarps
• Portable chargers
• Old phones (in working condition)
• A4 sealed plastic bags or Zip Lock bags (to protect important documents)
• Non-perishable food items (including coffee & sugar)
• Torches
• New/near new blankets
• Backpacks
• Towels
Donations can be dropped off at the Coast FM Studios: 141-143 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah between 9:30am and 3:30pm weekdays until Thursday, July 30 at 12pm.
