A man who allegedly strangled another man until he was unconscious at a Pinjarra caravan park will stand trial.
The West Australian reports, Rajpreet Singh allegedly attempted to kill his wife's former boss during a fight at Pinjarra Cabins and Caravan Park on May 25 last year.
Mr Singh appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to the offence along with an assault charge towards his wife.
Mr Singh's lawyer told the court it appeared the case was an alleged "crime of passion".
Police allege members of the public found the victim unconscious with the accused still on top of him.
Mr Singh allegedly strangled the man with a cord from a piece of clothing.
He was remanded in custody and will reappear in court on August 12.
