Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man as part of their ongoing investigation into the damage of automatic teller machines across various suburbs.
It is alleged between 13 and 30 December 2020, the man was involved in the damage of bank ATMs in the suburbs of Booragoon, Canning Vale, Malaga, Palmyra, Riverton, Rockingham, South Perth, Subiaco, Warnbro and Warwick. It is further alleged that whilst damaging some of the ATMs, money was stolen.
The 41-year-old man from Huntingdale has been charged with:-
· 15 counts of Stealing from Locked Box or Other Receptacle;
· 1 count of Possess Drug (Meth); and
· 1 count of Possess Smoking Paraphernalia.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 31 December 2020.
