A 65 year old man has died after being hit by a freight train in Spearwood.
At about 7.15pm on Thurday May 30 a 65 year old male was hit by a freight train at the intersection of Rockingham and Spearwood road in Spearwood.
Despite the efforts of passerbys the male person died at the scene. The intersection was closed to the public while investigations took place, but was reopened at 10.00pm.
Police will be preparing a report for the Coroner.
