A soccer program designed for overweight men is coming to Mandurah.
On Monday September 2, 2019, an information and registration evening will be held at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC) at 6pm.
The Man V Fat program is a University of Western Australia initiative, brought to WA after success of the program in the United Kingdom.
Mandurah is one of three locations where the program will be running - encouraging men to get involved in a community activity with like-minded people.
The 15-week season includes weekly weigh-in's, discussions of ways to stay active, nutritional meal plans and a game of indoor soccer on the MARC courts.
The program not only encourages weight loss - with over 1,600 kilograms of weight loss in WA so far - but offers an opportunity to become fit and active while having fun and making new friends.
The season runs on Monday evenings from September 2 until December 16, with a one-off $10 fee for the first season.
