Man wakes up in Mandurah carpark with serious facial injuries

Police are investigating how a 24-year-old man received serious facial injuries outside of a Mandurah tavern last month.

The man was with friends at the tavern on Mandurah Terrace on Saturday, July 18.

As the tavern closed he left with two friends.

They all walked into the carpark and his friends left in a ride-share car.

Around 11pm, the man woke up in the carpark with significant facial injuries, consistent with being assaulted.

He walked to a nearby petrol station where police and an ambulance were called.

The man was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he has undergone surgery for a broken cheek bone and fractured eye socket.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or by making a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
