The results of the latest Census show Serpentine-Jarrahdale is the fastest growing region in Australia.
The 2016 census, released by Australian Bureau of Statistics showed the population in the Serpentine-Jarrahdale increased by 51 per cent to 27,000 people.
That's up from 18,000 people in the 2011 Census,
The coastal region of Kwinana, south of Perth, was the State’s second fastest growing region, with its population increasing to 39,000 people from 29,000 (up 33 per cent).
The population in Australia has increased by almost two million to 23,401, 892, up from 21, 507, 719.
NSW still holds the crown as Australia's most populous state with 7.5 million people.
