Residents in the Peel region are being told to brace for wild winds.
It's time to batten down the hatches as the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts damaging winds, which are expected to develop across the Lower West on Wednesday night.
A strong high pressure ridge to the south of the state and a developing low pressure centre offshore from the Lower West will produce strong and gusty easterly winds over the Perth Metropolitan area including Mandurah and Rockingham.
Damaging winds up to 90 k/ph are predicted, which could result in damage to homes and property.
Rough conditions are expected to start on Wednesday night and last until around 8:00am on Thursday morning.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should find shelter away from trees and power lines if they're caught outside.
Residents should also secure their homes and outdoor furniture. People in pools, the surf or beaches are also advised to leave the water and seek shelter.
Anyone who experiences significant property damage, including badly damaged roofs or flooding, should call the SES on 132 500.
