Midland Detectives have charged three people as a result of their investigation into an animal cruelty incident that occurred between 1 March and 7 March 2019.
It will be alleged the kangaroo was struck multiple times with the wooden handle of an axe and the incident was filmed on a mobile phone.
A 17-year-old boy from Brigadoon and an 18-year-old man from Midland have each been charged with one count of Cruelty to Animals. They are due to appear in court at a later date.
An 18-year-old man from Swan View has also been charged with one count of Cruelty to Animals. He is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Friday 10 May 2019.
