Authorities have seized cocaine and meth while raiding a hotel room and apartment in Perth.
Detectives from Western Australia’s National Anti-Gang Squad have charged a man and woman in relation to the seizure of a large amount of Methylamphetamine and Cocaine in Perth on Monday 19 March 2018.
As part of the final phase of an operation targeting the distribution of illicit drugs in the Perth area detectives executed search warrants at an apartment and a hotel, both in Perth, and it will be alleged large amounts of drugs and cash were found.
Nearly seven and a half kilograms of meth and 1.5kg of cocaine were found at the properties, in addition to more than $13,000 in cash.
A 24-year-old woman linked to the apartment has been charged with Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Supply and Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property (Cash).
Meanwhile a 50-year-old man linked to the hotel room has been charged with Sold or Supplied, or Offered to Sell or Supply, a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine, Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Supply, Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cocaine) and Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property (Cash).
The pair were refused bail and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 March 2018.
The woman is next due to appear in the same court this week, while the man is next due to appear in the same court next month.
