A Waikiki mother believes cyber hackers have used a baby monitor to spy on her and her baby girl.
Katie McMurray bought a baby monitor to keep a watch on her three-month old daughter and did so from another room, or via a phone app.
Despite setting a password for the camera and home network, the Waikiki mum told Seven News the camera iris started to follow her every move when she was changing her daughter’s nappy yesterday.
“I was shocked, it really made me quite sick.
“Be careful, anyone could be looking at your children."
Curtin University cyber expert Dr Tama Leaver told Seven News anything that’s on the internet has a particular footprint which can be traced.
