People are calling for bike riders to pay registration fees and display number plates after this latest encounter was caught on camera.
There's been a lot of debate around cyclists sharing the road with cars and other vehicles.
This cyclist was caught running a red light in New South Wales and subsequently slamming into a turning car.
The driver, and owner of the dash cam footage that captured the moment, has taken to social media to express his anger with the rider.
He said the bike rider left a dent and scratch along the side of his car, and called for bikes to have license plates.
The most shocking part of this whole story is after sliding onto the front of the car, the unidentified cyclist picked himself and his bike up and rode away.
One Facebook user expressed his outrage with the following comment:
"This guy looks like a criminal, was riding on the wrong side of the road, can hardly ride a bike in a straight line and did a hit n run. Is he going to register a bike, obey road rules, stop for a crash in future, even if he can even afford to buy a bike, number plate or rego? These type of people don't adhere to rules and he wouldn't pay for repairs if you had a court order either. You're p****** into the breeze trying to get everyone numberplated, just keep yourself insured and buy a Dashcam!"
