Western Force have lost an appeal to remain in the Super Rugby competition with the NSW Supreme Court dismissing the case.
Rugby WA argued that the Australian Rugby Union had broken a contract that gave the Perth based club a spot in the competition until the end of the 2020 broadcast deal.
They had challenged an arbitrator's decision to back the Australian Rugby Union's move to drop the Force for the 2018 season.
The appeal was dismissed in the New South Wales Supreme Court on Tuesday morning.
A statement from Rugby WA said it will evaluate its legal options in the coming days.
