The Peel region has been struck by Lotto luck over the weekend.
The winning ticket worth $1,145,653 was sold at Miami Newsagency and was one of five national Division One winners in Saturday night's Lotto draw.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the million-dollar win was a good sign of things to come in what’s set to be a bumper jackpot on Thursday.
“We’ll see an $80 million Powerball jackpot offered Thursday night – that’s the largest Lotto offer in Australia this year and since July last year,” she said.
“At the moment our State is averaging more than one Division One winner a week, with our tally now at 23, so let’s hope this strong run of winners continues to Thursday’s jackpot.”
