Embark on a flavourful, fun-filled adventure curated by the Murray Youth for Youth team - psst… did you know one of our Youth Team is also a chef?
Join Pinjarra Community Men's Shed for an exciting intergenerational workshop these school holidays, specially designed for teens aged 12 to 17. Together with local seniors, dive into an experience like no other - no passports required!
This time, we're heading to China for inspiration! With access to the Men’s Shed’s spacious kitchen, we’ll explore vibrant Cantonese flavours through Dim Sum — traditional Chinese teahouse dishes known for their bite-sized fun and interactive cooking style.
🍝 Cook: Roll up your sleeves and learn how to make three different Dim Sum dishes — a vegetarian spring roll plus two types of dumplings. You’ll mix fillings, practise folding techniques, and try different cooking methods. Hands-on, creative, and delicious!
📽️ Watch: Unwind after cooking with Bao, Pixar’s heartwarming short film. It’s a sweet, funny, and emotional story that beautifully celebrates Chinese culture and the meaning of family.
🏫 Explore: Get an exclusive peek inside the Men’s Shed workshop and watch a live laser-cutting demo! See how designs are created and cut and take home your very own laser-cut keepsake made during the session.
🌟 Spots are limited, so book now to secure your place!
