Rockingham District Historical Society General Meeting Speaker is Laurie Smith, who arrived in the 1960s in Rockingham. He will give his insight of Rockingham.

Join us for our general meeting at Rockingham Museum. Our speaker Laurie Smith has lived in Rockingham for over 60 years and in that time he served as : Rockingham Shire President (1986-88) then Rockingham Mayor (1990-94), Citizen of the Year (1988) and Senior Citizen of the year (2023), Rotary Foundation Australia Ambassador to USA (1978), Volunteer Fire Brigade Member (1969-70), and was awarded an OAM medal (2004) by the Governor-General for extraordinary service to the City of Rockingham. Laurie will reflect from when he arrived in Rockingham in the 1960s to now. Stay for Afternoon Tea and a chat.
