Mandurah Duel

Called, The Duel’ because originally paddle craft raced either the Estuary or Ocean route to finish at a common point. Ocean or Estuary was the big question. Now it is focused on the Ocean Course known around the world as the Cut Run. A 12 km race with wind and waves at your back.

The question now is Ocean Ski, Outrigger or SUP? Which discipline will take overall line honours and bragging rights for the year?

Expect times in the low 40 minutes for the winners. Single Ocean Skis hold the trophy from 2019 with Andrew Mowlem from Perth based Indian Ocean Paddling Club taking out best overall time with 47:01:7.

The race starts are staggered for each discipline based on results from previous years and hence it’s anyone race! Despite travel restrictions resulting in interstate and international paddlers being taken from the event, we expect a large contingent from the world-class group of paddlers we have based in Western Australia.

You can be a competitor, observe from craft or coastline or volunteer for what will be a great day in Mandurah: Home of The Duel! Racing starts around 1pm from The Cut depending on weather conditions.
