Summer Rush: Mandurah’s FIRST All-Ages Mini Music Festival!

Taking over the Billy Dower Youth Centre Courtyard, Summer Rush is set to be the go-to youth gig of the year, providing a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free space where young people can discover their next favourite band LIVE!
But this festival isn’t just for youth, it’s been created by youth.

In the 10 weeks leading up to the event, a group of local young people (the Summer Rush Vollie Crew) have taken part in a career development program led by Chop Street Music. They’ve been hands-on in every part of the process, including curating the artist lineup, designing the festival branding, planning logistics, marketing and promotions, ticketing, and will be volunteering on the day.
Summer Rush features a stacked lineup of live music from Perth artists and emerging local youth talent. Spanning from Rock, Indie, R&B to Rap, there’s something for everyone.

Summer Rush was created by Chop Street Music’s Nur Azman, inspired by her own life-changing experiences attending gigs as a teenager.
“Going to gigs as a teenager shaped my whole career in the music industry. I want young people in Mandurah to experience that same energy and excitement that only comes from seeing live music.”
Seeing that local youth had limited access to live original music, Nur set out to create an event that would inspire the next generation of musicians, music lovers and industry workers.

Tickets are on sale now and are only $10+BF. A thought out price to make this event as accessible as possible. Capacity is limited and tickets are already flying out the door!
