Cadets participate in exciting maritime activities, leadership development, and community events throughout the year, with opportunities to make lasting friendships, learn vital skills, and explore the Royal Australian Navy environment.
What TS Mandurah Cadets Do
On-Water Adventures: Regular kayaking, sailing, powerboating, and stand-up paddleboarding led by trained instructors, plus visits to real RAN ships and submarines.
Leadership Training: Residential camps where cadets learn First Aid, survival skills, knot tying, and leadership principles, supported by Navy and safety experts.
Community Engagement: Participation in major Mandurah events—CrabFest, Waroona and Pinjarra Shows, ANZAC Day and Christmas Parades, fundraising BBQs, and community service projects.
Skill Development: Courses on maritime engineering, maritime operations, first aid, cooking, robotics, drones, skill at arms, drumming, radio operation, and much more.
Fun and Friendship: Social nights, award ceremonies, youth sailing initiatives, camps, and a supportive team environment where cadets describe TS Mandurah as “a second family”.
