Join us Saturday, August 9th from 10am - 2:00pm as we unveil a vibrant tribute to wildlife in Wellard.
A large-scale mural has now completed at Wellard Square, delivered through a partnership between Wellard Square and the City of Kwinana. The artwork was created by renowned WA muralist Amok Island and forms part of the City’s broader Arts and Culture Plan to activate public spaces and celebrate local identity.
To mark the occasion, a free community launch event will be held on Saturday 9 August from 10am–2pm, featuring wildlife displays, educational talks, food trucks, music, and more.
The mural celebrates native Australian birdlife and highlights the power of collaboration between local government and community-focused centres like Wellard Square.
