Works are now underway on a $10million rejuvenation project along Pinjarra Road.
The works being done are addressing the deterioration of the road and returning the condition of the pavement to an acceptable standard.
As a major entry road, Pinjarra Road plays a pivotal role in the City of Mandurah's road network and business community.
The roadworks project will be staged over several years with the project area running the stretch of Pinjarra Road from Dower Street to the City Centre.
The City has started the roadworks from Dower Street through to Anstruther Road, which will include road reconstruction, resealing and stormwater drainage improvements.
Additional funding will be sought from the State Government to expand the project along the length of Pinjarra Road to eventually tie into Sholl Street.
Road safety is also a focus of the project, with a review of the Pinjarra/Anstruther Road intersection in response to the number of crashes which have occurred at this signalled intersection.
