Mandurah Detectives are continuing their hunt for a man who assaulted a woman near a Halls Head beach.
Police say the 23-year-old victim was walking from the beach to her car, which was parked in the carpark at the end of Calypso Road, around 7.45pm on Tuesday, January 27 when a man jumped out of some bushes near a path and started following her.
"The man followed her for a short distance before grabbing her hair and pulling her off the path towards the bushes," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"The victim was able to break free and ran to her car, with the man following her.
"The woman drove straight to a police station and reported the matter."
The offender is described as being aged between 30 and 40 years, of dark complexion, approximately 183cms tall, of large build and with short dark hair.
He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and black pants.
