An 83-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted, bashed and robbed after a stranger broke into her home in Waikiki.
Sex Assault Squad detectives are investigating a burglary and sexual assault of a woman in her 80s that occurred in the early hours of this morning at a home on Gascoyne Way.
Detectives are currently conducting doorknocks in the area to locate anyone who may have heard or seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity.
In particular, police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man described as being in his early 20s, with dark skin, approximately 168cms tall, and of medium build. He was wearing black coloured clothing and a black baseball cap.
