Search teams looking for a missing Mandurah mother have found a body in the Bluff Knoll area.
Police believe the body is that of 39-year-old Lorjie Bautista who went missing a week ago.
"The body was located near the foot of a steep incline in a dense bush area, well away from public access trails," a WA Police spokesperson said.
Ms Bautista is believed to have gone on a walk to watch the sunrise on the peak, north of Albany, around 4am on Tuesday.
She was reported missing by staff at the Stirling Range Caravan Park on Thursday when she failed to return.
A large scale search has been underway ever since her disappearance, which included police, SES volunteers, tracker dogs, drones and a police helicopter.
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and the WA Police Force advise that the Bluff Knoll Road, carpark and walk trail remain closed to the public due to this police operation, until further notice.
