Mandurah Detectives have charged a 30-year-old homeless man following an alleged police pursuit through Meadow Springs and San Remo.
Police will allege the man was driving a black Hyundai i30 that was stolen from a home in Waikiki in January.
The stolen vehicle, displaying false number plates, was allegedly used in several fuel drive-offs across Perth.
The vehicle was then sighted in Meadow Springs around 10.15am on Monday and police attempted to stop it, but the driver allegedly sped off.
Officers followed the Hyundai to Greenfields but decided to abort the chase due to the man's dangerous driving.
About 10.50am, the car was sighted again by police and they managed to stop the vehicle without incident in San Remo.
The 30-year-old driver of no-fixed-address has been charged with a string of offences including no authority to drive, reckless driving to escape police, stealing a motor vehicle, possessing a firearm and possessing a controlled weapon.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
