The City of Rockingham has launched its newest destination marketing campaign for autumn – Rediscover Natural Beauty. Rediscover Rockingham.
The latest campaign follows on from the City’s Rediscover Romance and Rediscover Summer initiatives and is focused on encouraging visitors to get outdoors and enjoy the City’s coastal attractions and natural walking trails.
The all-digital campaign features two online videos that showcase land based and coastal adventures.
As part of the campaign the City has also brought back the popular Rediscover Rockingham photo competition.
Mayor Deb Hamblin said Rediscover Natural Beauty. Rediscover Rockingham was an integral part of delivering the City’s Tourist Destination Strategy.
“Rediscover Natural Beauty. Rediscover Rockingham is the City’s latest tourism campaign that will help us fulfil our Strategic Community Plan aspiration of actively pursuing tourism and economic development,” Mayor Hamblin said.
“Autumn is a beautiful time of the year. There’s still time for visitors to explore Penguin Island or paddle around the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park before winter sets in.
“While Rockingham is known as the place where the coast comes to life, there are also several stunning walking trails at the likes of Cape Peron, Lake Richmond, Baldivis Nature Reserve Trail and the Nyoongar Trail near Don Shepherd Reserve in Karnup.”
“With the Rediscover Rockingham Photo Competition also returning, we want to see photos from community members that showcase our City’s natural beauty.”
“Just snap a selfie, or a pic of the family, out and about enjoying the natural beauty somewhere in the City of Rockingham, post it on Instagram using the hashtags #RediscoverNaturalBeauty #RediscoverRockingham and you’ll go in the draw to win a guided kayaking tour for two people and a local restaurant voucher.”
