The campaign focuses on telling the stories of the people behind the businesses that have adapted to the challenges posed by COVID-19.
The social media initiative, which forms part of Destination Perth’s Relive Perth Intrastate Tourism Campaign, features four local tourism operators.
Perth Wildlife Encounters in Shoalwater, Cee and See Caravan Park in Rockingham, Brother of Mine in Baldivis, and Point Peron based mobile caravan cupcake business Vanilla Sprinkles, are all featured.

The campaign showcases 40 WA owned and operated businesses, each with a “RE” lesson to share. Comprising one minute promotional videos, the stories from Rockingham are those of reconnection, responsibility, refreshment and rediscovery.
Mayor Barry Sammels said the City was excited to partner with Destination Perth for the campaign, which would highlight some of the tourism experiences that are on offer in Rockingham.
“COVID-19 has forced many operators to adapt their approach to business, and the stories featuring four local Rockingham based businesses will highlight how they have reconnected with their customers and reignited their passion for tourism,” Mayor Sammels said.
“Actively pursuing tourism and economic development through the marketing and promotion of our City is one of the key aspirations in the City’s Strategic Community Plan 2019 – 2029.
“By partnering with Destination Perth for this campaign, we hope to attract people from across Western Australia who are keen to Rediscover Rockingham and find out why it’s known as the place where the coast comes to life.”
