The new McDonald's will be built at 5/11 Waltham Street, next to a daycare centre, and across the road from the Halls Head Shopping Centre.
It is set to inject $7.86 million into the local economy and create over 180 jobs for local construction workers and restaurant employees.
McDonald’s Halls Head will be owned and operated by Licensee, Clayton McIntosh, who also owns three other McDonald's stores in Busselton, Vasse and Falcon.
“We are excited to start construction on a new restaurant in Mandurah and create 100 construction jobs, as well as a further 80 operational jobs once the restaurant opens," Mr McIntosh said.
“McDonald’s Halls Head is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local causes and groups that are important to our customers and people.
“We look forward to serving up our great tasting, great quality menu once the restaurant opens later this year.”
McDonald’s Halls Head will feature a dual lane drive thru, a McCafé and PlayPlace.
