Dawesville man charged with grooming, sexually assaulting teenage girls

A 34-year-old Dawesville man has been charged with 15 child sex offences following an investigation by Mandurah Detectives.

Between February 2023 and March 2025, the man allegedly communicated with young girls, aged between 13 and 16, via text and social media apps.

He allegedly groomed the victims before arranging to meet with them in person and sexually assaulting them.

The man has been charged with four counts of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16, three counts of sexually penetrating a child of or over 13 and under 16, three counts of procuring a person believed to be under 16 years for sexual activity, two counts of having persistent sexual activity with a person under 16, two counts of possessing child exploitation material and one count of exposing a person believed to be under 16 years to indecent matter.

He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on August 15.
