WA Police have seized large quantities of drugs and cash along with a stolen firearm during raids across the South West last week.
In an effort to keep the community safe ahead of Leavers celebrations, officers executed nine search warrants between November 11 and 13.
More than 100 grams of heroin, 70 grams of cannabis, 40 grams of meth, 20 grams of cocaine and $350,000 was seized.
Police also located a sawn-off shotgun that was stolen during a burglary in Ludlow back in 2015.
Six offenders were charged with a total of 27 offences as part of the three-day operation including a 37-year-old Withers man, a 22-year-old Usher man and a 40-year-old Usher woman.
Acting Superintendent Justin Tarasinski, South West District, said the operation was a strategic move to disrupt criminal activity before thousands arrive in the South West.
“The operation reinforces our unwavering commitment to protect the community and prevent harm as thousands of young people prepare to gather in the South West for Leavers," A/Supt.Tarasinski said.
“It was a deliberate and highly targeted strike designed to disrupt criminal networks and apply relentless pressure on those who endanger public safety.
“These results send an unmistakable message to those who profit from drugs and criminal activity: we will identify you, we will disrupt your networks and we will hold you accountable.”
Information from the community plays a critical role in assisting police with their investigations.
If you have any information relating to the distribution of prohibited drugs, please report it to Crime Stoppers by making an online report at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
