An elderly man has been charged after allegedly firing a shot inside his Falcon home.
Police were called to the house on Merrin Court around 7.30pm on Monday to check on the wellbeing of the 72-year-old man.
He then allegedly discharged a firearm before being taken into custody without incident.
The man was conveyed to Peel Health Campus for a health assessment.
He has been charged with threatening to kill, being armed in a way to cause fear, discharging a firearm and committing an unlawful act with intent to harm.
He will face the Mandurah Magistrates Court today.
