Fire crews have spent the morning tackling a bushfire in Rockingham.
The fire was reported just before 6am at the intersection of Mandurah Road and Office Road.
Firefighters from Rockingham, Mandurah, Baldivis, Cockburn and Hope Valley attended the scene and air support was deployed to assist the ground crews.
The fire was approximately 100 meters by 100 meters in size and burning in heavy scrub land.
The blaze prompted a bushfire advice alert to be issued to people in the area bounded by Patterson Road, Office Road, Mandurah Road, Day Road and Crompton Road in East Rockingham.
Mandurah Road between Day Road and Office Road was also closed while crews battled the blaze.
The fire was contained by 7am, but firefighters remain on site cleaning up and ensuring the area is safe.
