A fourth man has been charged with animal cruelty following the deaths of two kangaroos.
Joondalup Detectives have charged a fourth man as a result of their investigation into the torture and death of two kangaroos.
Three men were charged on Friday morning, accused of taking part in the acts which authorities said took place between May 19 and June 16.
It will be alleged he was involved in the incidents where a kangaroo was burnt, shot with a firearm, spat on and kicked, then whilst being held by a man, the kangaroo was punched numerous times by a man wearing knuckle dusters.
A second kangaroo was stabbed with a knife over 20 times before the kangaroo was kicked to the head.
It is further alleged on 31 March 2018, he tortured an adult chicken by placing it on a fire fuelled by accelerant. A small explosive device was detonated causing injury to the chicken.
A 26-year-old man from Wanneroo has been charged with three counts of cruelty to animals and possession of things intended to inflict cruelty.
He's due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
