A man accused of wielding a machete at the front door of a home in Greenfields has been released on bail.
The 20-year-old was arrested in Seville Grove on Monday, two days after he was allegedly caught on a doorbell camera in possession of a machete at a house on Waldron Boulevard.
Speaking on 7NEWS, homeowner Dianna Shamley said her young daughter was the first to notice the accused.
“She was busy playing games but she said to me there was a human view alert on my phone so I said give it to me and I saw this guy who actually walked up to our front door with a machete,” she told 7NEWS.
“A lot of fear, a lot of fear. It felt like my heart was beating out of my chest because it’s just that idea, what was the intent?
“It is frightening because I feel like I have to get more security in my own home and that’s not nice.”
